Genealogy Sheets to Download

Pedigree charts and Family Group sheets are probably the two most important and most used forms in genealogy. There are fillable versions within any of the genealogy applications such as Ancestry or RootsMagic, but having some plain old paper forms on-the-ready is a must too. Click on the images here for downloadable, printable forms.

When you have a few minutes, come into the library and use our edition of Ancestry. If you need pointers, Loretta is here Tuesdays and Thursdays to give you a hand.

Bookclub Meeting Jan. 14, 2023

Don’t forget the Mannsville Library Bookclub meeting this Saturday, January 14, at 9:00 AM in the library. We will discuss December’s innocent, easy-read Farmer Boy, by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

January’s selection is a little more dastardly–Daphne Du Maurier’s Rebecca–to be discussed on February 11. There is still time to pick up a copy if you would like to take part.

The Bookclub is open to one and all and is held at the library at 9 AM on the second Saturday of every month. Come join in some good coffee and conversation!

Mannsville Christmas Celebration, December 3, 2022

Mannsville Christmas Celebration! The library staff will join in the fun at the firehall after the 3PM parade!

The parade starts at 3 along Route 11, from Joyner’s to Pierrepont Manor and back. The firemen and Women’s Auxilary are providing hotdogs, popcorn and hot cocoa at the firehall. The Village, the Methodist Church, and Mannsville Free Library will have tables at the firehall.

There will be a hayride (weather permitting) around the village to see lights and sing carols starting at 4:30 with a special surprise visit from the big man with the red had and the tree lighting  in the park around 5:30 or 6.
