Conception of the Erie Canal

Join us at the library to hear Erie Canal Museum‘s Derrick Pratt present on the Conception of the Erie Canal.

Wednesday, June 14, 2023 – 2 PM

While the Erie Canal took only 8 years to dig, getting to the point where people could start digging was a nearly 100 year long process. This talk looks at the early efforts to harness new York’s interior waterways and the political wrangling that almost kept the “Eighth Wonder of the World” from happening.

April Bookclub Date Change

March 2023 Bookclub Meeting

The Bookclub meets again on March 11 at 9:00 AM. We will be discussing Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays with Morrie. Next month’s meeting has been moved to April 1 to accommodate the Easter Egg Hunt!

Easter Egg Hunt 2023!

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday April 8, 2023. There are TWO timeslots this year. Your child must registered for either the 10 AM hunt or the Noon hunt. Call the library at 315-465-4049, or stop in to register your child.
